WHY I CREATED THIS EXPERIENCE
I almost spent my entire life in one place. Not because I loved it. Because it was comfortable. Comfort has a funny way of convincing us that it's enough.
I stayed too long. In a relationship. In routines that no longer fit. In a version of myself that felt safe... but small.
Then life forced me to make a choice. I left. I left the relationship. I left my home. I moved eight hours away. Lost a job. Sold nearly everything I owned. Packed up two cats, my now-husband, and hit the road for 311 days. Over 30,000 miles later... I wasn't the same person anymore.
Somewhere between mountain passes... ocean cliffs... and tiny towns I'd never heard of... I realized something.
Travel didn't solve every problem. But it gave me perspective. And perspective changes everything. When you see how big this world is... your worries stop feeling so permanent. You begin imagining a bigger life for yourself.
That's why I created this experience. Not to help people check Portugal off a bucket list. But to create the kind of week that quietly changes how you see yourself when you go home.
